In 2012, Matangi School appointed a new Year 4/5/6 teacher. We would like to welcome Ms Phil McIndoe to our school!

Also, a welcome to Brenda Palmer. Brenda is our new Teacher Aide.

Kasey Poole (B.A., Grad.Dip.Tch.Ln)

I graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2008, and was lucky to begin my teaching career at Matangi School in January 2009.

I have had experience in teaching year 2,3 and 4 since starting at Matangi, and have thoroughly enjoyed all of these age groups.

In the classroom I aim to foster a creative, caring and stimulating environment for all students. . I believe it is important to arm children with knowledge and experience that will help them when making decisions inside and outside of the classroom.
